HUWAT Observer
HUWAT Observer lets anyone who sees marine life — a fisher, an outdoor enthusiast or someone simply interested — record what they saw so that it can be reviewed. An observation is material for review, not a scientific record: it changes nothing in the species register and never becomes an approval or a distribution record by itself.
Registration as an observer is not open
This page only describes the observer. In this version no observer account can be created and no observation recorded, and the site collects no observer data. The path is in development and will not open before a real verification channel is proven.
How it works
What is recorded
The species if you know it, the date, the sea or region, and your notes. No exact position and no coordinates are asked for: only the sea or the region.
What happens after you send it
An observation stays a draft until you send it, and then it is reviewed. Nothing from it is published before it has been reviewed, and it never enters the species register.
Your type grants no permission
Whether you choose fisherman, outdoor enthusiast, general interest or other is only what you say about yourself. It gives you no right to review or approve anything. Confirming your email does not confirm your mobile, and the mobile is never used to sign in or to recover.
What does an observer account collect, and why? Read the privacy notice.
